Man and boy
“man and boy” is an oil on canvas by a British painter John Kirby at 1987. It´s 72 cm long by 60 cm large.
On this particular scene is set a little room. In the middle this two guys are looking at us, and they´re shaking their hands, but as they´re both turned to us, one is shaking with his right hand and the other with his left hand. At the bottom on the right we can see a little chair, where is standing up one of the two mans, despiste he being on the chair, he remains shorter than the other man, but I think they´re father and son, because they incredibly look alike. They´re both in costume, and we can see the little man handing a Jesus´s cross behind himself.
This painting has lost of dark colors, only the hairs of the two mans are red, and they´re faces are white. Because of the dark colours, we can barely see the feet of the father. The room is so little that we can see all the space they have, they can do at least one step forward them, so I think we’re looking to them throw the door.
